You do have to pay to enter the church. It was $6 each for adults. The tour is free because it is included in entrance fee. It is worth it to take the tour. I believe the light show is certain days. Not sure on the pricing or buying tickets in advance

It is located at 110 Notre-Dame Street West, at the corner of Saint Sulpice Street. It is situated next to the Saint-Sulpice Seminary and faces the Place d'Armes square.
