Built during the 17th century, this chapel is richly adorned with paintings and models of ships offered ex voto by sailors. The esplanade bordering the chapel offers fine panoramic views of the Seine estuary, the port of Le Havre and the Pont de Normandie (Normandy Bridge).
Chapelle Notre Dame de Grâce. Honfleur, France, Europe. Honfleur. Built between 1600 and 1613, this chapel sits on the Plateau de Grâce, a wooded, 100m-high hill about 2km west of the Vieux Bassin. The area offers great views of the Seine estuary, Le Havre, Honfleur and the Pont de Normandie.
Just a 15 minute walk from the centre of Honfleur via the Rampe de Joli (a steep but well surfaced public footpath with spectacular views). This lovely little chapel is well worth a visit either on foot, by car or using the tourist train which includes the site in its informative round trip of Honfleur.
