    Nubia was created by Robert Kanigher and Don Heck in 1973. While Kanigher had previously written Wonder Womanfor nine years, he had left to work on other projects. He and then-partner Heck created Nubia in his first issue back on Wonder Woman (#204 in January 1973), part of a one-year stint for the team.
