  6. I took a hardware route after using a software recorder for a long time. The software recorder I used (not OBS) would only give 10-15fps for a full-screen app (2.5k so understandable). I switched to using the ClearClick 4k capture recorder. Ran an HDMI out my Mac to a splitter (removed HDCP) to the box. Total cost was about $130.

  7. OBS is free, open source and the absolute best. OBS, ShareX, or even Clipchamp I think it is able to record. Use OBS you need not use anything else. Everything else is just worse in comparison and not to mention obs is free. PowerPoint. Insert -> screen recording. OBS Studio or Streamlabs, both free.
