Hello dear members. I record my computer screen (Windows) for creating tech-related tutorials. I'm a beginner and have used OBS since I began (for 2-3 months), and I love it. I have also recorded gameplay videos using OBS, and I can promise I have not seen a better app than OBS. But to make tutorials more engaging, I need your help.

It was also recording at a lower resolution than I liked. I switched to nvidia capture and it worked okay for a while. Then, had some mic issues. Then on a few sessions it recorded my OTHER monitor instead of the one we were gaming on. So, I got 5 hours of my other desktop with audio of us talking. Wasted. Switched to OBS because. 1.

I took a hardware route after using a software recorder for a long time. The software recorder I used (not OBS) would only give 10-15fps for a full-screen app (2.5k so understandable). I switched to using the ClearClick 4k capture recorder. Ran an HDMI out my Mac to a splitter (removed HDCP) to the box. Total cost was about $130.
OBS is free, open source and the absolute best. OBS, ShareX, or even Clipchamp I think it is able to record. Use OBS you need not use anything else. Everything else is just worse in comparison and not to mention obs is free. PowerPoint. Insert -> screen recording. OBS Studio or Streamlabs, both free.
