Oct 10, 2023 · May 8, 2024. The Oklahoma Climatological Survey was established by the State Legislature in 1980 to provide climatological services to the people of Oklahoma. The Survey maintains an extensive array of climatological information, operates the Oklahoma Mesonet, and hosts a wide variety of educational outreach and scientific research projects.
Thus, the Oklahoma Mesonet is a system designed to measure the environment at the size and duration of mesoscale weather events. For more information about Mesonets across the U.S., visit the National Mesonet website and the Mesonet Essentials website.
