Steeped in History. OLD EDWARDS INN WAS HIGHLANDS' EARLIEST BOARDING HOUSE. Known as Central House, it was built in July 1878 on property owned by John Norton. Norton paid $60 for four lots on the southeast corner of 4th & Main and built a 2.5-story frame structure with a gabled roof and a two-tier front porch.
