Known as the Carolina Boys for three years in the early 2000s, the group has been home to many of the genre's legends and has won countless awards and accolades. Our mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, and minister to the people of God through our songs. We pray our music and lives will be a reflection of Jesus in us!
The Rogers Family originated in Northeast Georgia where Ray & Helen Rogers, and their daughter, Kim, sang in churches with Kim playing the piano. Kim met Sammy Shields at a church in North Carolina, and they married in 1999. They have three children: Rebekah, 23; Samuel, 20; & Hannah, 15.
The group was formed in Greenville, South Carolina, by James Davis in 1928, a year before the Great Depression. The members were Barney Gipson (lead), Davis (tenor), Barney Parks (baritone), and J.B. Matterson (bass). In their early teens they sang in the Bethel Church of God in the junior chorus.
