Warning: Full spoilers for Season 4 of Once Upon a Time follow.

Season 4 of Once Upon a Time took the characters on quite a ride between Frozen connections, the Queens of Darkness, and the Author. The world of Storybrooke and the Enchanted Forest expanded with the introduction of new characters and the return of familiar faces like August and Ariel. New connections were made, for better or worse, and revelations about the past provided greater insight to characters in the present. Without rehashing every single scene, let's discuss the high and low points of the season.

We got snippets here and there with Robin and Regina and Rumplestiltskin's struggle, but characters like Charming and Snow suffered from being sidelined.

Once Upon a Time got caught up in Frozen mania and while it was a fun diversion to spend time with royalty from Arendelle and the tangent gave us a disturbing villain in the Snow Queen, it was a relief to see the plot be more centered on the full time Storybrooke citizens again. The latest season delivered emotion and solid character arcs but went ...
