Otto I of Hesse was Landgrave of Hesse from 1308 to 1328. He inherited Upper Hesse, followed by Lower Hesse, and had a long conflict with the Archbishop of Mainz. Otto was married to Adelheid of Ravensberg and had five children. He died in 1328 and was buried in Ahnaberg monastery.
