Out of Africa is a memoir by the Danish author Karen Blixen. The book, first published in 1937, recounts events of the seventeen years when Blixen made her home in Kenya, then called British East Africa. The book is a lyrical meditation on Blixen's life on her coffee plantation, as well as a tribute to some of the people who touched her life there.

Out of Africa, memoir by Danish writer Isak Dinesen, published in English in 1937 and translated the same year by the author into Danish as Den afrikanske farm. It is an autobiographical account of the author’s life from 1914 to 1931 after her marriage to Baron Bror Blixen-Finecke, when she managed.

The Danish author Karen Blixen (1885–1962) wrote Out of Africa originally in English, publishing this novelistic memoir in Denmark, Sweden, and England in 1937, and in the United States in 1938. This was her second book, following Seven Gothic Tales.
