Here he meets his great-great-grandfather, and together they try to catch the bad man. The time traveler knows all about the Vietnam war and the Watergate scandal (oddly specific), but somehow doesn't understand cars and cigarettes. It makes no sense. The script is weak, the humor doesn't work, and the pacing is off.
Since Josh is really little more than a child in the body of an adult, he is hired as a toy tester. His life changes drastically as he finds a girlfriend and moves into the adult world. However, toward the end of the movie, Josh yearns to return to life as a kid. He seeks out the fortune-telling machine and wishes his life back to the way it was.
