May 5, 2017 · Jasper and the Earl of Wiltshire raised an army in Wales in January 1461 to fight the Yorkists on behalf of his half-brother King Henry VI. Owen joined the army which engaged the Yorkist troops of Edward, Earl of March in battle at Mortimer’s Cross on February 2, 1461. It was a victory for the Yorkists.
