   Is Versailles a good place to visit?

   • Visiting the palace of Versailles is a nice activity but requires time as it is a large estate. It is easily accessible by train about an hour outside Paris and a short walk from the train station. There is restaurants on site as well. The grounds are large and depending on the weather it can be a very busy place with lots of walking.

   How long does it take to visit Versailles?

   • Most tours provide either a half day or full day visit to Versailles. With half day, you only get 2 hours in the palace which is way too brief of a visit. We used the full day (close to 6 hours) which allowed us to move at our own pace; appreciate both the palace and the gardens; plus time to eat lunch in the cafe.
