May 16, 2017 · On the 4 th floor of the Palais des Festivals, a new reception venue, the Terrasse des Journalistes, will be inaugurated on Wednesday, May 17 th. During the whole Festival, it will be dedicated to journalists, enabling them to meet up in the best possible conditions in between screenings. The Terrace will be open every day from 10 AM to 7 PM.

The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès ( Palace of Festivals and Conferences) is a convention centre in Cannes, France. It is the primary venue for the annual Cannes Film Festival, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Datacloud Global Congress, and the NRJ Music Awards. The building, as known today, was unveiled in 1982.

Towards the end of the 50s, the success of the festival and the growing numbers of visitors obliged the organisers to consider plans to increase the capacity of the Palais Croisette. For lack of funds, none of these projects came to fruition and ultimately the decision was taken to build a new Palais.
