Where to Park? There is free parking available a few steps away from the Arb at U-M lot M-28 on Washington Heights, after 5 pm weekdays, and all day on Sundays. In front of The Arb, Washington Heights and Observatory Street have metered street parking.
The Nichols Arboretum, near U-M hospital and downtown Ann Arbor, offers trails, riverfront, picnic area, restrooms, and peony and lilac gardens. The Arb allows cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing and kayaking but does not provide rentals.
