Jul 1, 2021 · Rockville, MD (July 1, 2021) – The American Society for Nutrition (ASN) named Paul Coates, PhD, as President for the 2021-2022 year, succeeding Lindsay Allen, PhD, who remains on the Board of Directors as Past President. His term begins on July 1, 2021.

Aug 18, 2021 · Dr. Coates received his Ph.D. in Human Genetics from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, followed by postdoctoral training at University College London. Most recently, he directed the Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), from 1999 until his retirement in 2018.
