Paul Gregory (August 27, 1920 – December 25, 2015) was an American film, theatre and television producer. Early life. Gregory was the son of a butcher and graduated from Lincoln High School in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1938. [3] Career. Gregory went to Hollywood where he worked as a personal assistant for clients like Horace Heidt and Carmen Cavallaro.
The holder of a PhD in economics from Harvard University, he is the author or coauthor of twelve books and more than one hundred articles on economic history, the Soviet economy, transition economies, comparative economics, and economic demography.
Mentored by Sir Laurence Olivier with The National Theatre at the Old Vic, Paul is best known for his role in Henry V where he shared the screen with Sir Kenneth Branagh. Recently has guest starred in episodes of The Romanoffs, Get Shorty and NCIS.

Paul Gregory is a Research Fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution and a pioneer in the study of Soviet and Russian economics. A student of the fabled Harvard Russian Research Center, he received his PhD from Harvard in 1969. His textbook on the Russian economy was used to teach more than two generations of students.
