A professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter known as "War Machine" that was wanted for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend and another man in Las Vegas was arrested in California Friday after a week-long search, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Jonathan Koppenhaver was arrested Friday in Simi Valley after "information was developed that he was in California," Deputy U.S. Marshal Melinda Kormos told NBC News. Koppenhaver was arrested in a hotel room "without incident" on Friday afternoon, transported to the Ventura County Jail and will be booked on charges stemming from a warrant in Nevada. Koppenhaver faces seven counts, including two counts of battery with substantial bodily harm, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Koppenhaver faced similar charges in 2009, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Officer Jose Hernandez told NBC News.
