This makes your rate of pay $24.04 per hour. If you have additional compensation, like bonuses you received during that pay period, then you'd add that bonus to your rate of pay total for that period.     Determine how many hours you worked over your specified time period. To determine what your overtime pay is, multiply one-half your hourly rate by the number of hours you worked that equaled over 40 in the past week. Using the previous example, if you worked 50 hours during a 40-hour workweek, the amount of hours you worked overtime would be 10. You'd then take your hourly rate of $24.04 and multiply it by half.
