Nov 5, 2010 · The Pellissier Building (built between 1929 and 1931) was one of the early structures targeted for preservation by the Los Angeles Conservancy, a grassroots preservation group founded in 1978. The building and the Wiltern Theater at its ground level underwent renovation, and the efforts culminated with a gala re-opening in May of 1985.

I’ve been to shows there many times since, never knowing the Wiltern was part of what’s called the Pellissier Building.
