Pete Agnew (born 14 September 1946) is a Scottish musician best known as the bassist and backing vocalist for the Scottish rock band Nazareth. Born in Dunfermline , he is the sole continuous member who still is performing with the band, which released its first album Nazareth in 1971, and the last founding member who remains alive.

Nazareth announced McCafferty's retirement from the band due to ill health on 28 August 2013, leaving Pete Agnew as the last remaining original member of the band. On 22 February 2014, it was announced that Scottish singer Linton Osborne was chosen as McCafferty's replacement, with the former singer's blessing. [12]
