Peter Howarth (born 3 May 1960) is an English musician, who is the lead singer of the English band The Hollies. He also has a career as solo artist and used to be a backing singer. In 2014 he released the CD album Evermore featuring his acoustic version of "He Ain't Heavy - He's My Brother".

I travelled extensively as a musician and singer both in the UK and abroad exploring a wide. range of musical styles. Whilst playing guitar in ‘Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ I worked with an old school chum Gordy Marshall. We went on to form the band Sahara. Our first album ‘Observation’ was released in 1986.
After Wayne's death from cancer in August 2004, he was replaced by Peter Howarth. Shortly afterward, Alan Coates left the band and was replaced by Steve Lauri.
