Petras Simonas Gedgaudas (Polish: Piotr Senko Giedygołdowicz; died in 1451) was a Lithuanian noble and diplomat. He briefly was a regent of Polotsk (equivalent to the later Voivode of Polotsk) in 1440, regent of Smolensk (Voivode of Smolensk) in 1447–1451, and castellan of Vilnius in 1451. Biography
The establishment of a church in Šiluva was the initiative of a nobleman named Petras Gedgaudas who worked in the service of Vytautas the Great. Gedgaudas in 1457 allocated land and other resources for a temple in honor of our Lady. Gedgaudas built a church dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Apostles SS.

Sep 24, 2013 · Petras Gedgaudas augo Kretingoje, J. Basanavičiaus g., mokėsi Pranciškonų gimnazijoje, grojo klarnetu jos orkestre [2]. Matydamas, kad dauguma Kretingos šviesuomenės – mokytojai, kunigai – buvo pranciškonai, panoro sekti jų pėdomis, įstojo į Pranciškonų ordiną, 1938–1939 m. Pajūrio vienuolyne (Šilalės r.) atliko noviciatą.
