La Monumental. The Monumental Bullring of Barcelona known as the “Plaza de Toros Monumental de Barcelona” or more shortly “ la Monumental” was inaugurated in 1914 with the first bullfights in this place. La Monumental, located at a confluence of Gran Via and Marina, gives also its name to a station of the Barcelona Metro network.
The Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, known simply as Las Ventas [las ˈβentas], is the largest bullfighting ring in Spain, located in the Guindalera quarter of the Salamanca district of Madrid. It was inaugurated on June 17, 1931.

It was the last bullfighting arena in commercial operation in Catalonia.
Las Ventas Bullring was built in 1929 on the land called Las Ventas del Espíritu Santo, to which it owes its name. It is the largest bullring in Spain, with a total area of 45,800 square meters and capacity for 23,797 people.
