   • Portland has several excellent barbecue options and Podnah's is consistently among the best. Definitely some of the best Texas barbecue outside of Texas. Nice, barbecue appropriate restaurant with lots of excellent drink options too. Great food! Had the frito pie, and the pit boss with friends. The ribs were so good we got more.

   • Opened in 2006 Podnah’s has strived to make the best BBQ possible in the Pacific Northwest. We fire up an all wood burning smoker every morning at 5am to have dinner ready that evening. Like my grandparents we make everything from scratch daily and don’t cut corners to make things easy.

   I checked out Podnah's Pit Barbecue this afternoon because my father wanted barbecue. This little spot is right off Killingsworth in Northeast Portland a couple of blocks down from 15th St. Has a nice open floor plan. The place has a café vibe and the air is filled with a smoky barbecue smell.
