Make sure that you use a hammer to tap in the retaining pins. Using another tool (like a punch) may damage the front collar on the pins. Now reinstall the small pin retaining clips. Stomp on the brake pedal a few times to make sure that the pads seat themselves properly. Now, check the front venting clearances.
