    Produce Plus supports both DC residents and local farmers by: 1. Providing locally grown, fresh fruits and vegetables to DC residents with limited access to fresh, healthy food. 2. Increasing income for local farmers, many of whom are first generation and BIPOC farmers.

    From early June through the end of November, participants get $40 per month to spend on fresh fruits, vegetables, and cut herbs at participating farmers’ markets and farm stands throughout Washington, D.C. that accept the Produce benefits card.
