The name was changed to Propaganda Due when the Grand Orient of Italy numbered its lodges. By the 1960s, the lodge was all but inactive, holding few meetings. This original lodge had little to do with the one Licio Gelli established in 1966, two years after becoming a Freemason.

The list of members contained the names of well-known Italians, for example, Silvio Berlusconi, Roberto Calvi (the leader of the collapsed Banco Ambrosiano), Admiral Giovanni Torrisi (Chief of the Defence Staff of Italy) and a whole string of generals. The lodge was headed by Licio Gelli, bearing the title "Maestro venerabile".
