One of the finest of all the Old Roses. Large, beautifully formed, quartered flowers of soft glowing pink; to which is grey-green leaves povide a perfect foil. Tough, reliable, hardy and disease free. Very strong Old Rose fragrance. Once flowering. 5ft x 4ft. (1826). Grey-green foliage.
Vigorous, open rose about 1.5m tall, with arching thorny stems bearing coarse greyish to blue-green foliage. Richly fragrant, fully double blooms with tightly packed petals are bright pink, paler at the edges, to 8cm across, once-flowering in midsummer; introduced 1826.
PICKUP. The Queen of Denmark rose is adorned with cupped, medium-sized, very full and long-lasting blooms. In shades of rose pink, with the outer shell softening in colour, these beautiful flowers are very fragrant. Growing 5′-6′ in height, Queen of Denmark is a non-recurrent and hardy bush.
