Rajaji National Park is a national park and tiger reserve in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. that encompasses the Shivaliks, near the foothills of the Himalayas. It covers 820 km 2 (320 sq mi) and includes three districts of Uttarakhand—Haridwar, Dehradun and Pauri Garhwal.

Rajaji Tiger Reserve is the second tiger reserve of Uttarakhand, named after the freedom fighter C. Rajagopalachari. It has diverse forests, rivers, wildlife and birds, and offers jeep safari, bird watching and forest rest houses.

The river Ganges flows through, and the habitat varies from patches of sal forest to Himalayan plains, river beds and grasslands. Until three years ago, Rajaji was mostly known for its large elephant population of over a 1,000.
The backwater of the reservoir, as well as a small stretch of the River Ganga, lie in the Rajaji Tiger Reserve. These water bodies attract a lot of resident and migratory waterbirds during winters.
