Biography. He was the son of diplomat, Stanley Jayaweera, [4] and the nephew of Neville Jayaweera. [5] [6] Rajeewa was educated at Nalanda College, Colombo. [7] Rajeewa graduated from the School of Economics for Catering and Trade in Dortmund, West Germany. [8] He was a Senior Executive of SriLankan Airlines.

Jun 12, 2020 · 12 June 2020. Former SriLankan Airlines manager, Rajeewa Jayaweera, has been found dead at Independence Square, Colombo this morning. He was also a well known freelance journalist who exposed corruption at SriLanka Airlines. The Colombo Gazette reported that a pistol and note were also found with the body.
