Reading Senior High School, colloquially known as The Castle on The Hill, is a 9–12 public high school in Reading, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1927 and is part of the Reading School District.
RHS History. On November 2, 1852, the City Union High School on Fourth and Court streets in Reading,Pennsylvania, opened its doors to boys only. Thirty-five students were enrolled under the direction of Principal William H. Batt, who was paid a salary of $800 a year.

On Early Dismissal days, students follow the following schedule: Reading High School will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. RKAA CityLine, RKAA Glenside, and RKAA Thomas Ford will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. AM-CTC will dismiss at 10:00 a.m. and will return to RHS for lunch. PM-CTC will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. from Reading High School and will not attend PM CTC.
