There are six steps associated with REBT that Counselors and Therapists follow (Seligman & Reichenberg, 2010): Identify the Client’s irrational beliefs. Explore the negative consequences of their beliefs. Disputing their irrational beliefs. Replace their irrational beliefs with healthier and more rational beliefs.
