In addition, six new stained glass windows designed by Imi Knoebel, a German artist, were inaugurated on June 25, 2011. The six windows cover an area of 128 m 2 (1,380 sq ft) and are positioned on both sides of the Chagall windows in the apse of the cathedral.

- Metz, France. As it turns out, not only the Reims Cathedral, but also the church in Metz has its own Chagall windows. He worked on them for two years, from 1958 to 1960, when he was over 70 years old.

These are some of the more modern stained glass windows of the cathedral. They were done in 1961 by Brigitte Simon-Marq where she tried to evoke light reflecting on a river by using blu-grey-green tones. Because these windows are modern and quite different from the traditional ones, their installation was opposed by the citizens of Reims.
