"The ReplayTV Electronic Programming Guide (EPG) Service will be permanently discontinued on July 31, 2011. After this date, owners of ReplayTV DVR units will still be able to manually record analog TV programs, but will not have the benefit of access to the interactive program guide.

Jun 16, 2011 · kwadguy Senior Member Thread Starter. Location: Cambridge, MA. ReplayTV, or the holding company that controls the name anyway, announced yesterday that as of the end of next month, Replay units will no longer be serviced with program data. That means they turn into doorstops.
Some community members have gotten together to offer a simple replacement ReplayTV guide service. (code name "LAst HOpe RNS" (LaHo)). Dialup is supported, so a FREESCO install won't be needed. The LaHo service is provided by Perc Data and is currently in Beta testing. You can join the test at Percdata.com .
Poopli publishes ReplayTV guide information. Members of the community are able to browse the universe of recordings that poopli knows about and ask people to send them to their ReplayTV's, or to anything that can convincingly impersonate a ReplayTV.
