Rex Holman (born 11 December 1935; age 88) is an actor who played Morgan Earp in the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode "Spectre of the Gun" and J'onn in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
Holman was originally cast as Virgil Earp in "Spectre of the Gun", however, the original actor playing Morgan Earp was fired after the first shooting day due to his drug problems, and Holman was recast in his role, while Charles Maxwell was hired to play Virgil. (These Are the Voyages: TOS Season Three, pp. 72-73) Holman filmed his scenes between Tuesday 21 May 1968 and Monday 27 May 1968 at Desilu Stage 10.
Holman was born as Roy Eugene Baker in Tulsa, Oklahoma and lived most of his life in Southern California. His appearance in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier is his last known on-screen appearance.
In 1970, Holman recorded an album on the Pentagram label called Here in the Land of Victory. It featured a mix of country, blues, and eastern influenced folk.
