Enrico Anthony Lazio (/ ˈ l æ z i. oʊ /; born March 13, 1958) is an American attorney and former four-term U.S. Representative from the State of New York. A Long Island native, Lazio became well-known during his bid for U.S. Senate in New York's 2000 Senate election; he was defeated by Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Enrico Anthony "Rick" Lazio (born March 13, 1958 in Amityville, New York) served as a Republican U.S. Representative from New York 's 2nd congressional district from 1993 through 2001. He rose to the rank of Deputy Majority Whip and later the Assistant Majority Leader.
