Ride With The Devil is a great picture of the border wars during the Civil War. The troop depicted is obviously based on the Missouri Raiders under Bloody Bill Anderson, from whom the character of Black John has to be based. A picture of a war brought home where there were no winners or losers just fallen and survivor.
