The couple says Robin Roberts Stadium, where the Horseshoes play, is in desperate need of upgrades if it is to succeed as a sporting and entertainment venue.

May 11, 2023 · Robin Roberts, who attended Lanphier High School and had a Hall of Fame career in the Major Leagues, was in Springfield and wanted to check on the park that bore his name. Roberts, 1926-2010, occasionally returned to the city and this visit was later in his life.
