The Rodeo Beach, Miwok Trail, and Coastal Trail leaves near Rodeo Beach and follows a fairly developed route along the bluffs above the Pacific Ocean. It takes a couple small detours to Battery Townsley and to Hill 88, the former launch site for Cold War missiles, then returns to the parking area just past the Marin Headlands Visitor Center on Mitchell Road (Bunker Road).
Rodeo Beach didn’t disappoint. It was a rugged and interesting beach with lots of rocky outcrops and places to explore. The sand was great and the beach walk really nice.
