Room (2015) is a Canadian-Irish drama film based on the novel of the same name by Emma Donoghue. It tells the story of a young woman and her son who are held captive in a small room for seven years. The film explores their escape, adjustment to the outside world, and bond as mother and child. Room was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and won Best Actress for Brie Larson.
