The King of Queens is an American sitcom television series that originally ran on CBS from September 21, 1998, to May 14, 2007, for a total of nine seasons and 207 episodes. The series was created by Michael J. Weithorn and David Litt, who also served as the show's executive producer.

After Doug learns that his wife Carrie has not given up the apartment in Manhattan as she promised, though he quit his job as an IPS driver for a job as a salesperson, which she requested that he do, he is furious. Doug does not want to attend her father Arthur's wedding to Ava St. Clair (Lainie Kazan), which takes place in Poughkeepsie; instead, he stays at home watching The Price is Right, and several references to the game show are made, including contestants bidding on a prize, and Doug yelling to the TV that "the Rice-a-Roni is much cheaper than the Turtle Wax" and ranting about how "Ensign Curtis just cost himself a trip to the Showcase Showdown". Steffiana De La Cruz (born Stephanie Anna Marie Zantua on August 28, 1974) is the real-life wife of Kevin James, who plays Doug on the show. Steffiana has appeared in 4 episodes throughout the series, in different roles.
She met Kevin on a blind date in late 2001, moving in with him within three months later. The couple married on June 19, 2004. They have three children: Sienna-Marie (born on September 30, 2005), Shea Joelle (born on June 14, 2007) and Kannon Valentine (born on April 24, 2011 ).
Before dating present husband Kevin, she was in a relationship and lived with late character actor Chris Penn from 1993-1999 , taking small roles in some of the films Penn appeared in. She has also appeared, asides from TKOQ, several projects husband Kevin has starred in, such as Paul Blart: Mall Cop in 2009 and its sequel, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 in 2015.
