Running Wild was formed in Hamburg 1976 by Rolf "Rock 'n' Rolf" Kasparek, Uwe Bendig, Michael Hofmann and Jörg Schwarz, initially under the name Granite Heart.In 1982, after their name was changed, the lineup which was bound to release Running Wild's debut album was complete: guitarist and vocalist Rock 'n' Rolf, lead guitarist Preacher, bassist Stephan Boriss and drummer Hasche.
