Ruzyně is a district of Prague city, part of Prague 6. It has been a part of Prague since 1960. [citation needed] Václav Havel Airport is located in this district. Czech Airlines has its head office on the grounds of the airport. [1]
Václav Havel Airport Prague, formerly Prague Ruzyně International Airport (IATA: PRG, ICAO: LKPR), is an international airport of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The airport was founded in 1937, when it replaced the Kbely Airport (founded in 1918).

The first aircraft landed at the new airport on 5 April 1937 at 9 a.m. It was a Douglas DC-2 travelling on the Piešťany – Zlín – Brno – Prague route. This landing was the official start of operations of the brand-new airport Prague-Ruzyně.
