Officer III+1 Dominique Luca is a third-generation S.W.A.T. officer and third-in-command of Hondo's team; his grandfather was on one of the LAPD's first S.W.A.T. Teams in the 1970s. He is portrayed by Kenny Johnson. Luca drives S.W.A.T.'s primary transport truck, affectionately called "Black Betty."

Cast and characters. Shemar Moore as Sergeant II Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson Jr., a Los Angeles native who was promoted to team leader in a blatant attempt to ease the tensions between the community and the LAPD after his former team leader shot an unarmed black teenager.
A locally born and bred S.W.A.T. lieutenant is torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he's tasked to run a highly-trained unit that's the last stop for solving crimes in Los Angeles.
