Other personal needs. You may request from one to 12 months of leave. When your leave begins you will be paid out in a lump sum for your accrued vacation and personal holidays.
All academic leave requests (which should be submitted via the form available below) should be made reasonably well in advance of the proposed leave. An academic appointee on leave remains a University employee subject to the policies of the University.
The following minimum standards are recommended: The clergy person shall have served for at least five years in the current congregation. Sabbatical leave is available to be taken after five years of service and should be taken after no more than seven years of service in the current congregation.
