Saginaw Township North is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place (CDP) in Saginaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan.The community is located within Saginaw Charter Township, and the CDP boundaries consisted of most of the northern portion of the township.
Kochville is an unincorporated community in the Township at Liberty and Michigan Roads. [ 4 ] [ 5 ] German-born Frederick Charles Koch settled here in 1849, and the township was named for him when organized in 1856.

Bay County is located in the U.S. state of Michigan.As of the 2020 Census, the population was 103,856. [3] The county seat is Bay City. [4]Bay County comprises the Bay City, MI Metropolitan Statistical Area and is included in the Saginaw-Midland-Bay City Combined Statistical Area in the Mid/Central Michigan region.
Bridgeport Township was established in 1848. A sawmill was built there in 1849. By the mid-1860s there was also a shingle mill, three shingle factories and a salt well.By the 1880s the area had shifted to farming with the only mill being a grist mill built in 1878 by John and Martin Messner.
Albert Miller was the first settler of Spaulding Township. He moved to the area in 1832. Upon the organization of Saginaw County in 1835, Miller was appointed Judge of Probate and Justice of the Peace. He was also a member of the state legislature in 1847 and the first president of the Michigan Pioneer Society. [5]
Prior to 1992, the 8th congressional district included the cities of Saginaw and Bay City as well as Huron, Tuscola and Sanilac Counties in the Thumb of Michigan, Arenac county north from Bay County, a total of about half the area of Saginaw County, and small northern portions of Lapeer and St. Clair counties.
