Saladin Ambar is an American political scientist. He is a professor of Political Science at Rutgers University, and is a Senior Scholar at the Eagleton Center on the American Governor. Ambar taught for 18 years in New York and New Jersey public schools. In 2008, he received a PhD from Rutgers University. Books

Ambar is the author of five books, including: Malcolm X at Oxford Union: Racial Politics in a Global Era, which was nominated for a Hurston/Wright Legacy Award for best non-fiction book written by an African American author. The book is the basis for a film currently in development by Number 9 Films (UK).
