    Salman Khan was born in Metairie (October 11, 1976), Louisiana. Khan attended the public school Grace King High School and later the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating with a BS in mathematics, a BS in electrical engineering and computer science, and an MS in electrical engineering and computer science in 1998. Khan also holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Khan worked as a financial analyst, before quitting in late 2009 to work on Khan Academyfull-time.
