Sam Harris (vs. The Very Bad Wizards) on Veganism. It's interesting that a person can say factory farming is likely to be viewed by future humans as among the worst things we've ever done as a species, yet continue to support them materially. This doesn't even seem like an uncommon sentiment.
Something to remember about Sam Harris is that he’s said that being vegan is the right thing to do, yet he’s not vegan. He says that factory farms and how animals are treated is totally violent, but he doesn’t stop eating animals, and rather focuses his attention on what he perceives as violence emanating from Islam (which is hypocritical).
